Hope

“When we love, we always strive to become better than we are. When we strive to become better than we are, everything around us becomes better too.” Paulo Coelho, The Alchemist (Source: Goodreads).

I try everyday to be better than I am. Somedays are hard, some are easy. Today is hard. With illness, you never know from one day to the next if you will be fully functional or not. But as long as you try to be better on the whole, there is always hope. At least I would like to think so.

Hope is the one thing I carry around with me in spades. Hope for better health, hope that my family knows how much I love them and how hard I try to be better. Hope that things will work out so long as I work hard to make it happen. Hope that my children will appreciate all that I do. Hope that I can dig out of this darkness and into the light.

So much hope.
