Panic

Panic attacks are periods of intense fear or apprehension of sudden onset accompanied by at least four or more bodily or cognitive symptoms (such as heart palpitations, dizziness, shortness of breath, or feelings of unreality)[1]and of variable duration from minutes to hours. (Wikipedia).

For those of you who have never experienced one – you have no idea how lucky you are.

For those of us who do. I am so sorry.

I am sorry you have to feel the uncontrollable fears.

I am sorry you have a racing heart.

I am sorry you have no control.

I am sorry that no one can take that all away.

I am sorry that people don’t understand.

I am sorry that even the slightest, seemingly innocent event can set one off.

I am writing this trying desperately to slow my attack down.

It’s not working.
