I’m sinking
Drowning
The darkness is a blanket
Enveloping me in its cold
Harshness
The sharp edges digging into my soul
No light to guide me
No stars
No moon
Only
the darkness
Exhaustion begins to seep
From every pore
Bone and muscle
Suddenly a shimmer
At the edges
the darkness
A smile
A guiding hand
The warmth of the sun
Finally reaches in
Sets to warming the muscles
Bones and pores
Sets to rubbing out
the darkness
Harshness
Sets to freeing me
