Hurricane

I feel it
tearing, whipping, shredding
ever ounce of nerve with it

It twist and reals
ever feeling the tension
the gust that whips your breath
away

sleep won’t come
the whirring of debris
laden in the mind
never ceasing

Peel away the walls
windows shatter
doors blown away

left bare
there is nothing left
anxiety is as a hurricane
nothing left in it’s wake
