For my children…

Just when I think I’m up, I’m not. This down spiral has me thinking about my children and what I hope, dream, and want for them.

I want my children to be confident. I want them to know they can stand for what they believe.

I want my children to follow their dreams.

I want them to be fearless.

I want them to be who they want to be no matter what anyone says, actually, in SPITE of what someone may say.

I want them to understand how much they are loved because I don’t think they do.

I want them to have true freedom.

I want them to succeed on THEIR terms, no one else’s.

I want them to know that no matter what they do, where they go, how they go about it – I will ALWAYS be there for them. Thick and thin. Whether they tell me they love me or hate me, they leave me or stay with me. I will always be in arms reach – to hug, to talk to, to just hang out with.

I hope they already know all of this, but in their teens years I know knowing and believing are two different things.

I dream that we will one day just be able to be happy.
